Setting Up My Wallet: Access for All
Multiple options are available to meet your unique transportation needs
Transportation Wallet: Access for All allows you to choose the wallet package that works best for you. Read
below to find out what each option contains.
This option includes:
Transit: A 12-month Reduced Fare Pass for unlimited rides
This option is for:
Individuals who have Honored Citizen Hop cards for transit.
(Seniors age 65+, People on Medicare, with disabilities, or who qualify
based on income.)
This option includes:
Transit: $200 on your Hop Card
BIKETOWN Membership: BIKETOWN for All or Adaptive BIKETOWN
Prepaid Visa card: $75 for transportation services
This option is for:
Individuals
This option includes:
Transit: $225-$300 on your Hop Card
BIKETOWN Membership: BIKETOWN for All or Adaptive BIKETOWN
Prepaid Visa card: $100-$175 for transportation services

Transit: Portland Streetcar and TriMet
Your Transportation Wallet benefits will be applied to a new or existing Hop Fastpass® card.
Also
called “Hop cards,” these refillable fare cards are used to pay for rides on TriMet,
Portland
Streetcar, and some other Portland-area transit services.
Option 1: TriMet Honored Citizen 1-year pass
This option is available for Access for All participants who either already have or
plan
to
apply
for TriMet’s reduced-fare Honored Citizen Hop card.
Get your Honored Citizen Hop card
Visit TriMet’s website to apply.
There are a number of ways you may qualify:

Options 2 and 3: Value to load onto TriMet Hop cards
These Transportation Wallet packages come with set amounts of transit fare that you
can load
onto
your Hop card. This transit value included in your Wallet will depend on which
option you
choose
(1
or 2), and your household size. (See the graphic at the top of this page.)
Get your Hop card
If you don’t have a Hop card already, no problem! We will load a new Hop card
with your
transit
benefits and mail it to you.
Next, load your Transportation Wallet benefits onto your Hop card

Important
The Transportation Wallet program cannot load transit benefits to virtual Hop cards.
Hop card balance protection
Did you know that Hop cards have balance protection if your card is ever lost or stolen?
If
you want this protection, you must first register your Hop card at myhopcard.com or in the Hop App. (And remember to report your lost/stolen card as soon
as
you can!)
How to load your Transportation Wallet benefits onto your Hop card
If a staff person is helping you sign up, they can help you with this step.
Or, follow these instructions:
- Log into your Transportation Wallet account
- Click on “My Hop Cards”
- Click on “Manage Hop Cards”
- Click on “Add New Hop Card”
- Enter your Hop card number, security code, and expiration date (refer to graphic for
visual explanation →)
- Hit the blue “Add” button
What’s next?
Option 1: A PBOT staff person will load your 1-year pass onto your Hop
card
within 10 business days. We will notify you when it is ready for use.
Options 2 and 3:
- Go to “My Wallets”
- Select the TriMet benefit and click on “Proceed to Redeem”
Your Hop card will be loaded and you can start using your benefits right away.
BIKETOWN
Access for All participants may receive a BIKETOWN for All and Adaptive BIKETOWN membership
with
their Transportation Wallet.
BIKETOWN for All is Portland’s bike-share membership for income-qualified individuals
and high
school students ages 16+.
Adaptive BIKETOWN offers an unlimited number of free, 1-hour rides to anyone living with a
disability
or who cannot ride a traditional two-wheeled bicycle.
Option 1
BIKETOWN membership is not included with this option.
Options 2 and 3
These Transportation Wallet packages include your membership of choice (BIKETOWN for
All or
Adaptive
BIKETOWN). Your membership will include unlimited 60-minute rides and a helmet. You
will
also be
credited $7/mo to cover out of station parking fees, which come into effect when you
park a
BIKETOWN
bike away from an official BIKETOWN station.
Redeem your BIKETOWN benefit
- Log into your Transportation Wallet account
- Go to “My Wallets” and click the BIKETOWN button
- Select the BIKETOWN for all option and click “Proceed to Redeem”
- You will receive a coupon code
- Log into your BIKETOWN account (if you don’t have one already,
you’ll need
to
create
one)
- Proceed to sign up for a membership
- When you get to the payment portion of the BIKETOWN signup process, enter the
coupon
code
from
step four (above)

Pick up your helmet
Helmets can be collected at Adaptive BIKETOWN on the Eastbank Esplanade during normal
operating
hours.
Rent an Adaptive BIKETOWN bike
- Go to the Adaptive BIKETOWN website (see the link below) and navigate to the
“reservations” page
- Proceed through the steps to reserve a bike
- A rental agent will respond within 24 hours to confirm your request or work with
you to
determine a mutually agreeable date/time.
- Pick up your bike at Kerr Bikes on the Eastbank Esplanade next to OMSI in SE
Portland
Please note that you are requesting a reservation date/time, not making a guaranteed
reservation.
Adaptive BIKETOWN
Use your prepaid Visa card for BIKETOWN
You can add your prepaid Visa card as a payment method in your BIKETOWN account.
Prepaid Visa Card
Access for All participants who choose Wallet options 2 or 3 will be mailed a prepaid Visa
card
to
use for transportation services including e-scooters, taxis and ride-hailing, parking, and
more.
Option 1
A prepaid Visa card is not included with this option.
Options 2 and 3
The value included on your prepaid Visa card will vary depending on the option you
choose and
the
size of your household. (See the graphics at the top of this page.)
Activate your prepaid Visa card
When you receive your prepaid Visa card in the mail, just follow the instructions in
the
envelope
to
activate it.
Please note that you will need the date of birth you used to register your
Transportation
Wallet
to
activate your card.
Important
The prepaid Visa card will not work for purchases that are not transportation
related.
Use your prepaid Visa card for e-scooters
You may add your prepaid Visa card as the payment method for any of the three e-scooter
companies
active in Portland: Bird, Lime, and Spin.
First, download the e-scooter app of your choice to your smartphone.
Each company has their own app that you will use to unlock e-scooters and pay for rides.

Special prices are available
As an Access for All participant, you likely qualify for low-income pricing for
e-scooters.
Get discounts
Use your prepaid Visa card for taxis and ride-hailing
You may add your prepaid Visa card as the payment method for the Uber and Lyft apps as
well as any taxi service apps you use. Not all taxi services have apps. If this is the
case with your favorite taxi company, just use your Visa card to pay your driver
directly.
First, download the ride-hailing app of your choice to your smartphone
Each company has their own app that you will use to hail and pay for rides. Use the links
below to get the apps that work with your device’s operating system.
Taxis: Check with your preferred vendor to see if they have an app.
Next, add your prepaid Visa card as the payment method for each app
You can use your prepaid Visa card to pay for individual rides or use it to preload your
Lyft and/or Uber accounts with Lyft Cash or Uber Cash.

Use your prepaid Visa card for parking
You may use your prepaid Visa card to pay for on-street parking at parking meters or via
the Parking Kitty app. You may also use your card to pay for parking in SmartPark
garages.
First, download the ride-hailing app of your choice to your smartphone

SmartPark garages: Follow the instructions on SmartPark paystations.
